• I have 1 wife (Regina) and 2 children (son Adam, born 2003, and daughter Vendy, born 2005)
• I enjoy spending my free time with my family
• Presently this hobby consumes most of my free time :-)

Travel

• I like travelling using any transport means and exploring new places
• I prefer nature to towns and places spoiled by civilization
• My favourite places that I return to, time and again:
  • Scandinavia: fjords, mountain glaciers, lakes, nature parks and reserves
  • Northern Spain: Pyrenees, Atlantic coast, Basque Country and Navarra
  • Greece and Croatia: Crystal clear sea, rocky coast, islands
  • Austria and Switzerland: the Alps, lakes, via ferratas, mountain railways
  • Slovakia: Tatra mountains and Slovak Paradise National Parks
  • Czech Republic: Moravian Karst, Lednice-Valtice Area, National Parks Krkonose (Giant Mountains) and Sumava (Bohemian Forest)

• Cycling (outside cities)
• Skiing (both cross-country and downhill)
• Swimming (warm lakes and seas)
• Windsurfing/rafting/canoeing (occasionally)

• Some oldies (my favourites: The Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel and Leonard Cohen)
• Some Czech singers (my favourites: Jarek Nohavica, Karel Kryl and Karel Plihal)
