Master studies at the Faculty of Informatics, Masaryk University changed my life
What our international student Iman Mehmandoust says about his studies at
#fimuni?
“When I was in Afghanistan, I dreamed about having a successful challenging
career in IT community. I tried to think out of the box and find opportunities
to study abroad. Finally, I found Service Science Management Engineering, Master
study programme at the Faculty of Informatics, Masaryk University, which
perfectly fits my Bachelor education and working experience.
Getting to be enrolled in this master programme was not easy. There were almost
1000 candidates who applied to study in the Czech Republic. My application was
one of the 3 applications that were finally accepted.
Now I am in the 4th semester of my studies and my dreams are coming true. At the
same time, I am working for a big international IT company here. Being an
international student at the Faculty of Informatics means to take a responsible
approach, on the other side, it is a perfect life in a beautiful city, with
amazing teachers and colleagues and in Brno IT community so-called another
Silicon Valley.
Every day I'm meeting different people from all around the world, travelling to
near capitals and other near towns, learning a few Czech words, eating some
typical Czech food and getting closer insight to local culture, history of Brno
and Masaryk University, celebrating 100th anniversary this year.”
