Honorary doctorates

Masaryk University awards honorary degree (abbreviated as "dr. h. c.") to outstanding personalities, both local and foreign, whose creative contribution to the development of science, culture and art is internationally recognized. Honorary doctorate is awarded in the field of scientific areas pursued at Masaryk University. A proposal to award the honorary doctorate is given by rector and deans of faculties. The proposal is then approved by the Scientific Board of MU.
