I am studying at FI MU or have studied at FI MU. Can I be exempted from the admission exam for bachelor studies?Applicants who have already studied or are studying at FI MU can only be admitted to the Bachelor's programme on the basis of their TSP results.
How do I apply for a waiver of the entrance exam based on the National Comparative Examinations? The dates of the NTS are also after the collection of waiver applications.Please upload a scanned and completed application for waiver of entrance exam to your e-application form by 28 February 2025. Please indicate on the form the dates of the exams you plan to attend. The College will accept test scores that are taken by the deadline of 3/29/2025.
I have passed the National Benchmark Examination. Do I need to send a certified copy of my SCIO certificate with my written application?No, in this case you just need to include a completed and signed application form. However, you do need to give the SCIO, the company that organises the NCS, permission to provide information about your result to the Faculty of Computer Science.
I will take part in an IQ test from Mensa SR. How should I proceed?If you score 130 or above in the test, you will submit a written request for a waiver of the entrance exam, together with a scan of your certificate, no later than 28 February 2025. If you will be taking the test after this date, enter the completed waiver request in your e-application form by 28 February 2025 and send a copy of your certificate by post at a later date so that it is received no later than 16 February 2025. At the same time, you will need to provide proof of your high school grade point average, which must not be higher than 1.5. You will provide proof of your grade point average with a transcript of grades, certified by the high school (stamp + signature), on which the average will be calculated. This is the overall average of all grades on the report card in grades 1-3 at the end of the school year and in grade 4 at midterm.
Can I apply for a waiver of the written entrance exam electronically?Yes, this is our preferred method, please scan the completed written application and upload it to the e-application form as well as the attachment - by 28 February 2025.
What does it mean to be in the top 20% of the National Comparative Examination?The percentile you scored must be equal to or higher than 80.
Is high school grades or matriculation exam results taken into account for admission?The high school average is only documented if you apply for a waiver of the entrance exam and your IQ test score is at least 130. This is the overall average of all marks on the report card in Years 1-3 at the end of the school year and in Year 4 at half-term.
Will previous years' results be taken into account for admission without an entrance exam?Yes, we do take into account previous years' results for admission. However, the oldest results can be from 2023, except for the IQ test, which is valid indefinitely.
Is the NSZ also organised in Slovakia?Yes, SCIO also organises tests in Slovakia (Bratislava, Žilina, Košice) http://www.scio.cz/
Is it possible to study in a combined form of study?No, only full-time.
Can I apply for more than one programme?Yes, you can. You must fill in a separate e-application form for each programme and pay the application fee.
I want to apply for a waiver of the entrance exam. Is it sufficient to only check the application form?No, you must either send a written application at the same time or, if you do not need to provide a certified copy of a document, you can scan the completed application and include it in the e-application as an attachment - but no later than 28 February 2025.

I am a student in the final semester of my Bachelor's degree at the Faculty of Computer Science at MU and I meet the requirement of a grade point average of no more than 2.00 or I am in the 50th percentile in my degree program. Do I have to submit a written request for a waiver?No, an applicant who is studying in a Bachelor's degree programme at FI MU and meets the criteria for a waiver of the entrance exam for a continuing Master's degree from the following semester does not submit an application. The waiver will be evaluated on the basis of the submitted application form and applicants will be informed electronically.
I am a final year undergraduate student from another HEI, how should I go about applying for a waiver?The applicant for a waiver will send a written application to the Study Department so that it is received by the application deadline. The application will be accompanied by a transcript of the courses taken in the Bachelor's degree programme together with the average grade achieved, issued by the relevant university (the percentile achieved may also be provided). If the applicant is a final year student of the relevant course, the transcript must be issued no earlier than 3 months before the date of the entrance examination.
I am an undergraduate, how do I apply for a waiver of the entrance exam?The applicant for a waiver of the examination must send a written application to the study department so that it is received by the deadline for applications. The application must be accompanied by a transcript of the courses taken in the bachelor's programme, together with the grade point average issued by the relevant university (the percentile achieved may also be provided). If the applicant has already completed the bachelor's programme, the transcript of courses must be issued after the completion of the programme.
I am an international applicant, will I be able to get everything sorted out?Applications will be processed on a rolling basis once the admission fee has been paid. Invitations to sit the entrance examination or decisions to waive the entrance examination will also be sent out on a rolling basis. Applicants from outside the Czech Republic and Slovakia are therefore advised to submit their application (including, if applicable, a waiver request) and pay the application fee as soon as possible.
