Faculty of Informatics of Masaryk University seeks new PhD students in various areas of Computer Science and related interdisciplinary fields. The list of PhD supervisors provides a more detailed overview of all currently available topics for PhD studies. The current application procedure and deadlines can be found on the admission information page.
In an addition to the general call for doctoral students, the Faculty announces the following special calls for open PhD positions with special funding for the 2025 academic year. This special funding is provided by research projects, industrial projects, and Faculty departments. The interested candidates are, besides submitting all the required documents for the following special calls by their respective deadlines, still obliged to pass the standard admission procedure (details). This competition is open to eligible candidates from all countries, and specifically also for the study programmes in English. The details can (and should) be consulted with the contact persons of the offered positions.
Candidates whose interests do not fall into the areas of the special calls below are encouraged to contact their potential supervisors directly and discuss the funding possibilities individually.
