Streaming
The stream shows the screen of the lecturer’s computer alongside a reduced view of the lectern. Sound is captured by ambient microphones in the classroom, so there is no need to bring your own microphone. Sound from the computer is only recorded indirectly (i.e. via the microphones). Audio is always streamed; video is streamed only when the lecturer’s desk is active. Apart from this, the lecturer in the room has no other options for configuring the stream.

A notification of an ongoing stream is displayed on the timetable panel for the relevant classroom.
All lectures are streamed unless the lecturer requests that streaming be disabled. For seminars, the

Recording
A recording from a classroom can only be made if streaming is enabled in that classroom.
Since spring 2026, recordings have been processed by thevideo.fi.muni.cz system provided byvideo@fi,
which dynamically responds to changes in the timetable. The previously used systemvideo.muni.cz
is now only being phased out within the Faculty of Informatics.
Unedited recordings of lectures and recorded tutorials must be uploaded within one hour of the end of
the lesson to the folder/vi within the course materials in the IS. Students do not have
access to this folder initially. When the first recording is uploaded, lecturers
are offered the option to make the folder containing the recordings accessible. Lecturers also have the option
to manually adjust access rights to the recordings (e.g. by restricting access to a
tutorial recording to members of a specific seminar group).
If, in exceptional circumstances, a lecturer needs to prevent the publication of a lecture recording, they must
make the folder/vi inaccessible as soon as
possible after the end of the lecture and raise the matter withvideo@fi.
Non-classroom events
Recordings of non-classroom events are published on request. It is possible to askvideo@fi to edit the recording. Recording editing takes place throughout the semester and depends
on the availability of staff atvideo@fi.
